Herman Rufus Bartley, 61, of Connellsville, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Friday evening, Sept. 16, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Herman was born May 12, 1961, in Connellsville, a son of the late Herman Rufus and Gladys I. (Keefer) Bartley, who passed away in 1971 and 2001, respectively. Herman was a devoted companion and brother who graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1979, and the Uniontown School of Nursing. He was employed as a registered nurse at Uniontown hospital for 30 years. He had a love of animals and was survived by his loyal dogs, Grayson, Coco, Chewy, Mocha, Vinny, Pepers, Patches and Sable. Herman will be sadly missed by his loving family: his companion and girlfriend, Georgia Snyder, of Mt. Pleasant, and her children, William Randolph Lechner, Timothy James Lechner and Cynthia Marie Lechner; his siblings, Randy Bartley, of Vanderbilt, Paul Bartley, of Connellsville, Larna Lilley, of Dubois, and Lana Hose, of Tacoma, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday with Pastor Greg Butler officiating.
