Hazel Dolores (Miller) Fox, 97 and a lifelong resident of New Stanton Passed away peacefully at 10:05 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the residence of her daughter in East Huntingdon Township.
Dolores was born September 2, 1927, a daughter and one of nine children, of the late Harry Milton and Maude Jane (Welker) Miller, who passed away in 1963 and 1991 respectively. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Fox on December 31, 2006.
Dolores was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of Saint Luke's Lutheran Church in New Stanton and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the New Stanton Volunteer Fire Department. Dolores enjoyed Charles parties and spending time with her family.
Dolores will be sadly missed by her loving family; her three daughters, Kandy Bretz of Scottdale, Debbi Rath and husband George of Acme, and Cindy Aland of Greensburg; her two sons, William Fox and wife Kendra and Scott Fox, all of New Stanton; her seven grandchildren; her nine great grandchildren, her great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons-in-law, Glenn Bretz Jr. (2020) and Scott Aland (2019); her eight siblings; and her son Scott's girlfriend, Diana Farlow (2024).
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Ron Ingelido officiating at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Section next to her late husband. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Love Lasts Forever!
