Harry G. Aspey, 84 of Aliquippa (formerly of Scottdale), passed away Monday afternoon, September 12, 2022 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh after a tragic accident. Harry was born April 14, 1938 in Scottdale, a son of the late Harry G. and Bessie Mae (Thomas) Aspey. Harry married Jean Ann (Thompson) Aspey on November 11, 1965.

Harry was a devoted husband and uncle. He graduated from Scottdale High School, Class of 1956 and served his country in the US Air Force during peacetime following the Korean Conflict. After his military service, Harry worked as an airplane mechanic for United Airlines and US Air for many years. He was a longtime and faithful member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church while residing in Scottdale. Harry enjoyed traveling, camping, and attending bluegrass festivals with his wife.

Harry will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 56 years, Jean Ann (Thompson) Aspey; his sister-in-law, Margery (Thompson) Martin of Scottdale; his nieces Margie Wood and husband Woody of Conway, SC and Linda Faupel and husband Mark of Johns Creek, GA; his great niece and great nephew, Stephanie Waller and husband Dwayne and David Domske and wife Kelly; his two great-great nephews and great-great niece, James, Rowan, and Layla; and his loyal pet dog, Merry.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel followed by  Funeral services at 11 AM Friday with Pastor Roy Butt officiating.
