Harold Edward Kuhns, 85, of Scottdale, passed away at 4:35 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
Harold was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Connellsville, a son of the late Martin and Inez (Colbert) Kuhns. He married Joan R. (King) Kuhns on June 4, 1955.
Harold was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a man of faith and was a loyal and dedicated member of the Scottdale Church of Christ where he served as deacon, elder, and a member of the Joy Class. Harold was also known for keeping the church grounds immaculate. Years ago, he worked at Allied Feed Mill near Everson and served in the Army Reserves and the PA National Guard, 110th Battalion in Scottdale.
Harold will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 66 years, Joan R. (King) Kuhns; his daughter, Lisa Biller of Scottdale; his five grandchildren, Jeremy Biller (Amy), Jamie Showman, Erin Mobley (Garold), Blake Biller, and Revee Biller; his six great grandchildren, Brianna Showman, Morgan Heinbaugh, Guin Haines, Lexie Mutchler, Brooke Biller, and Gabby Trout; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynda Robinson; his brother, Gary Kuhns; and his niece, Yvette Kuhns.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE, ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ).
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will from 10- 11 a.m., Wednesday, in the Scottdale Church of Christ followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with Pastors Greg Pelc and David Watson co-officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Scottdale Cemetery.
