Gertrude McGregor, 82, of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at her residence. Gertrude was born Oct. 22, 1933, in Champion, a daughter of the late Charles and Ivy Leasure. She was married to Harold Dean McGregor, who passed away in 2007. Gertrude was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, walking, doing puzzle books and painting pictures by numbers. Gertrude will be sadly missed by her loving family: her four children, Harry McGregor and his wife, Patricia, of Mt. Pleasant, Linda Zimmerman and her husband, Mitch, of Scottdale, Kay Smith and her husband, Kevin, of Connellsville, and Joyce Nicholson, of Connellsville and her fiance, Hobert Victor Jr.; her eight grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Dorothy Stahl and husband, Harry, of Kecksburg, and Betty Nyman, of Lock Haven; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Joe Wingrove officiating. Private burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
