George Henderson, 80 of Mount Pleasant (Bullskin Township) passed away at 9:15 AM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his residence. George was born on New Years Day, January 1, 1945 in Connellsville, a son of the late Edward L. and Virginia T. (Helkowski) Henderson. He married Jean L. (Meason) Henderson on December 14, 1968 and she survives him.

George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He graduated from Scottdale High School, Class of 1963 and was self-employed in the home remodeling and roofing business for many years. Years ago, he worked at the Modulus Corporation in Mount Pleasant. He was also a lover of animals.

George will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 56 years, Jean L. (Meason) Henderson; his two sons, Kevin Henderson and Mark Henderson; his grandchildren, Matthew, Cole, Kira, and Madelyn; his siblings, Jean Semensky and Greg, Cathy Miscovich and Larry Miller, John Henderson and Sandy, Peg Brothers and Butch, and Sue Pletcher and Jim Workman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Henderson Jr. and wife Esther; his brother, Thomas "Tom" Henderson; his three sisters, Barbara Brooks, Rosemary Miller, and Jane Cuzzape; and his brother-in-law, John Pletcher.

At George's request there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be received from 4-6 PM on Friday, August 1 in the funeral home chapel followed by a Memorial Service at 6 PM Friday, August 1 with Pastor Kevin Giddings officiating.
