Obituary

Genevieve I. (Felgar) Suttle, 88, of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, in Walnut Ridge Care Center, Hempfield Township. Jenny was born July 10, 1927, at West Overton in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late John Ferner and Marie (Raymond) Felgar. Jenny married Raymond J. Suttle on Nov. 12, 1948. Jenny was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a longtime and faithful member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for more than 35 years. She also was the former Sunday school superintendent and treasurer. Jenny held memberships with the Braddock Trails, Daughters of American Revolution and enjoyed crocheting, making blankets for family members, gardening and caring for her feline friends. Jenny will be sadly missed by her loving family: her husband of 67 years, Raymond J. Suttle; her sister, Bonnell Suttle, of Levittown; her two brothers, Roy Felgar and his wife, Sally, of Mahaffey, and Earl Wayne Felgar, of Connellsville; her brother-in-law, Jack Suttle, of Scottdale; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300 / www.fergusonfunerals.com / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Roy Butt officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery. The family thanks Walnut Ridge personnel for the wonderful care they provided.
