Fred Lee Pritts, 77, of Dawson, passed away at 7:21 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at his residence.
Fred was born Nov. 5, 1940, in Somerset, a son of the late Roy C. and Ida M. (Blough) Pritts.
He married Wilma J. (Platt) Pritts on Nov. 2, 2018.
Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who resided most of his life in Fayette County.
He worked for many years as a farmer, railroader, and miner, along with employment in a chicken factory. Recently, he was a landlord for several rental properties. He was a real credit to society!
Fred will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife, Wilma J. (Platt) Loucks Pritts; his son, Charles A. Pritts and his wife Susan; his eight grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; his stepchildren, Peter Hein (Beth), Cynthia Orzehowski (Jim), Walter Loucks (Donna), Brian Loucks (Patty), Raymond Loucks, Elizabeth Woodley (Mitch Steele), Wendy Stewart (Chris), and Belinda Proctor (Harry Burro); his 27 stepgrandchildren; his 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; his two brothers, Thomas Pritts and Curtis Pritts (Jean); his three sisters, Lucy Bowlby, Dorothy Pletcher, and Carrie Huffine (Jerry); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elwood Pritts; and his five sisters, Nancy Henry, Iva Legas, Jennie Liston, Judy Nudo, and Kathleen Basinger.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the Ralph E. Galley Funeral Home, 501 Railroad St., Dawson, 724- 529-2611 , www.fergusonfunerals.com . Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Lonnie Ritenour officiating.
Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Barron's Cemetery, Middlecreek Township.
