Fred A. Daniels, 87 of Scottdale (East Huntingdon Township) passed away at 5:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his residence. Fred was born August 27, 1935 in Mount Pleasant, a son of the late Walter and Emma Frances (Ramsey) Daniels. He married Joyce A. (Pirl) Daniels on September 9, 1960.

Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1953 and received an Associates Degree from Westmoreland Count Community College. Fred was employed as the Manager of Contra Vista Senior Apartments in Uniontown and previously worked at Woodcrest Senior Living, in Scottdale and at Modulus Corporation, in Mount Pleasant. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Scottdale, attended the Wooddale Bible Brethren Church, and years ago was an active member of the Scottdale Kiwanis Club. Fred enjoyed camping especially in Myrtle Beach.

Fred will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 62 years, Joyce A. (Pirl) Daniels; his son, Scott A. Daniels; his four grandchildren, Lindsey Jorstad and husband Ryan, Zachery Daniels, Logan Martin and wife Kyra, and Leah Daniels; his three great grandchildren, Isabella, Hunter, and Roman; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter "Skip" Daniels and his wife, Patricia.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 1-7 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 7 PM Monday with Pastor Gary Witt officiating.
