Franklin D. Menefee,

81 of Connellsville (Upper Tyrone Township) passed away at 8:58 AM Tuesday, June 16, 2026 in Independence Health System’s Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Franklin was born on June 1, 1945 in Mount Pleasant, a son of the late John W. and Betty (Clark) Menefee. He was married to Eva (McNair) Menefee, who passed away in 1995.

Franklin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator and also performed masonry work and drove truck. Franklin was a member of the Everson New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy and the Sons of Italy Lodge in Scottdale. He enjoyed throwing horseshoes, hunting, and fishing.

Franklin will be sadly missed by his loving family; his two sons, John Menefee (Jessica Bosse) and Eric Menefee (Rhonda); his four grandchildren, John, Ellie, Ari, and Gracie; his daughter-in-law, Danielle Menefee; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his companion, Corina Rose (2021); his son, Steven Menefee; and his brother, John Menefee.

Family and friends will be received from 3-7 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday with Pastor Randy Winemiller officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will be in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
