Everson
Francis Raymond "Ray" Banko, 75, of Everson, went to be with the Lord at 9:30 a.m. Memorial Day, May 29, 2017, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Ray was born Jan. 8, 1942, in Everson, a son of the late Francis and Florence (Fazenbaker) Banko.

Ray was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was employed for many years as a bolt maker at the former Modulus Corporation, Mt. Pleasant, and was a lifelong member of the Partner Parish of Saint Joseph's RC Church in Everson. Ray was also a life member of the Polish American Club (PAK) in Everson and enjoyed gardening.

Ray will be sadly missed by his loving family: his children, MeLinda Halfhill and her husband Sam of Connellsville, Frank Banko and his wife Becky of Connellsville, and Adesta (AJ) Mastowski and her husband Bobby of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Jami Wiltrout, Kelly Trice, and Riley Mastowski; several great-grandchildren; and his longtime friend, Cathy Wildey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Family and friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, the hour of service, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Father Andrew Kawecki officiating.

Final resting place will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
