Evelyn L. Kiliany, 95, of Everson, passed away on May 18, 2024. Born in Everson on December 18, 1928, daughter of the late Anastasia and Walter Bednarowicz and wife of the late Thomas Kiliany, she is the last survivor of the immediate family. Evelyn attended St. Joseph's Elementary School in Everson, and later graduated from the former Scottdale High School as a member of the class of 1946.  She was a certified Beauty Academy Graduate from Uniontown PA. Evelyn dedicated 20 years of service to Sears Uniontown, where she worked as Supervisor of the Installation Office. She retired in 1988.

Evelyn became quite a gifted crafter, and enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, and tatting; she delighted in designing custom gifts for her family.  In addition, she spent time cultivating a flower garden and maintaining a neat and manicured lawn and home.  She enjoyed serving traditionalPolish meals.  Evelyn was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Scottdale and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, also in Scottdale.

Evelyn found most joy in spending time with her three granddaughters and was a strong supporter and proud of their educational accomplishments.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn will once again be reunited with her husband, Thomas Kiliany of 59 years, as well as two brothers, Raymond and James Bednarowicz.

Evelyn will be greatly missed by her surviving family and friends, including her two sons, Terence R. Kiliany (Joan) and Thomas R. Kiliany Jr. (Kristine) as well as three granddaughters Carolyn Haley (Michael), Rachel Fairley (Daniel) and Katie Alvarado (Matt) and great granddaughters Emma Haley, Leila Fairley, and Julia Alvarado along with multiple in laws and nieces and nephews. Evelyn was especially appreciative of the support and companionship of her sister-in-law, Joann Kiliany, in recent years. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, wife and grandma who always took a loving interest in her family.

Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel where parting prayers will be recited at 10:30 AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM Tuesday in The Partner Parish of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale with Rev. Father Mark Dunmire as celebrant. Graveside committal service and interment, next to her late husband,  will be in the church cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
