Eric L. Coffman, 49, of Alverton (East Huntingdon Township), passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2022. He was born April 23, 1972, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Karen J. (Stoner) Collins, of Alverton, and David L. Coffman, of Scottdale. Eric was retired from his profession of machining by health problems and not being able to get around well. It never kept him from remembering and imagining days of hiking, caving (a lifetime member: National Speleological Society), floating down river, flying over BMX-bike courses, designing bikes, growing up on his grandparents farm, or helping his Dad in his workshop. He loved all living things, especially his cat, Zoe, no excluding bats and insects! Eric also loved each and everyone of his relatives, family and friends and tried to understand everyone he met. Eric's presence will be greatly missed by his loving family, his mother, Karen J. (Stoner) Collins and his stepfather, Jeff; his father, David L. Coffman; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Marjorie (Suter) Stoner; his paternal grandparents, Leroy and Clara (Bashforth) Coffman; and his uncle, Kerry Stoner.
