Ellen M. (Alexander) Ohler, 82

of Scottdale (East Huntingdon Township) passed away at 4:40 pm Friday, December 20, 2024 at her residence. Ellen was born September 5, 1942 in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Close) Alexander. She was married to Charles A. Ohler, who passed away in 2005.

Ellen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in New Stanton where she served as church organist. Ellen was a graduate of Hempfield High School and enjoyed music, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.

Ellen will be sadly missed by her two children, Robert Ohler and wife Luann of Virginia and Lori Ohler of Scottdale; her daughter-in-law, Donna Ohler of Scottdale; her nine grandchildren, Lisa Knarr (Brandon), Rachel Collins (James), Valerie Jones (Corey), Nicole McCullough (Jesse), Joshua Ohler (Ashley), Natasha Kaleida (Doug), Shyanne Ohler, Desiree Jack (Dewayne), and Donald Overly (Alezza Kent); her 16 great grandchildren; her companion and longtime friend, James Warburton; her two sisters, Janet Golembiewski and Brenda Angus; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Ohler Jr. (2021); her great granddaughter, Kayleigh Jones; and her brother, Clifford Alexander.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will be from 10-11 AM Friday in the Calvary Baptist Church, New Stanton followed by funeral services at 11 AM Friday with Pastor Richard Sementilli officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Youngwood Cemetery, next to her late husband. Love Lasts Forever!
