Elaine Cumberland, 79 of Vanderbilt

passed away at 2:08 pm Thursday, August 14, 2025 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela. Elaine was born February 16, 1946 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late George William and Jessie MaraBelle (Beeson) Brady. She married Arthur Clayton Cumberland on June 5, 1965 and he passed away on January 17, 2005.

Elaine was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She graduated from Connellsville Area High, Class of 1964 and was employed as a church secretary with the East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Vanderbilt for many years. Elaine was a former member of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church and currently worshipped at the Abundant Life Church In Uniontown and cherished her church family there. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed reading, and was an avid animal lover!

Elaine will be sadly missed by her loving family; her three children, Wendy Davis and Connie Cumberland, both of Vanderbilt and Tammy Rothacher and husband CJ of Rochester; her six grandchildren, Jennifer Stoner (Scott), Garrett Felgar, and Attikin, Joey, Madi, and Mackenzie Rothacher; her two great grandchildren, Jordan Stoner and Evie Felgar; her brother, David Leonard Brady Sr. of Dawson; her sister, Beverly Louise Bowman of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 19th in the Abundant Life Church. Private interment next to her late husband will be in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, PA 15401.
