January 31, 1949 – August 28, 2022
Edward J. Valentovish, 73, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully after a prolonged battle with cancer Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022. He was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Edward A. and Veronica (Kozar) Valentovish. He attended the Community Christian Church in Mt. Pleasant and is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus. He was a 1967 graduate of Southmoreland High School, completed a tool & die apprenticeship at Westinghouse East Pittsburgh and was a graduate of a two-year degree at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood. He became an engineer at Volkswagen of America and finally finished his career at Summit Machine in Scottdale. Ed was an avid collector of antique cars and motorcycles and belonged to many affiliated clubs. He enjoyed many rides with these various groups throughout the years making many lasting friendships! Ed will be missed by his loving family, wife, Carol (Hall) Valentovish; his daughters, Erin Premus (Jason Pletcher) and Casee Valentovish (Blake Williams); and his special loving grandchildren, Kameryn, Elliot and Sayde Premus. Due to his wishes, there will be no public viewing. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, in the Community Christian Church, Mt. Pleasant.
