Edgar L. Neff, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at 8:24 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at his residence.
Edgar was born March 4, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Lawrence Edgar Neff and Edna (Headrick) Neff Petterson. He married Joan (Love) McBeth Neff on May 1, 1982.
Edgar was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He graduated from Wilkinsburg High School, Class of 1949, and received his architectural engineering degree from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. He was a Registered Architect (R.A.) in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland and proprietor of Edgar L. Neff, R.A., designing residences, nursing homes, churches, and also the Scottdale Train Station. He was an active and faithful member of the Center Bethel Church of God, was a member of the Gideons, and as a Rotarian, received their highest honor, the Paul Harris Award. An honorable veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served his country during the Korean Conflict. Edgar was a people person who was dedicated to his work, had a beautiful voice, loved singing, and enjoyed an occasional round of golf with his family!
Edgar will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Joan (Love) McBeth Neff; his two daughters, Laurie Neff Wode and her husband Larry of Westerville, Ohio, and Mellissa Neff Dennis and her husband Billy of Cape Coral, Fla.; his four grandchildren, Davin, Lauren, Sierra, and Ava; his stepchildren, Sheryl Falvo and husband Eugene of Waynesburg, Lisa Barclay and husband Wayne of Scottdale, and Kelly Robles and husband Abel of Poland, Ohio; his step-grandchildren, Craig Falvo, Allison Gilbert, and Brianne Gilbert; his six step-great-grandchildren, Ella, Ezra, Miles, Peyton, Taylor, and Isaiah; his brother, Donald Carl Neff and wife Judy of Beaufort, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Eugene Neff.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, the hour of funeral services, in the funeral home chapel, with his pastor, the Rev. Lee Kline, officiating.
Final resting place will be in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
