Duaine Edward Mulhorn, 84, of Scottdale, passed away at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, in Independence Health System's Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Duaine was born July 2, 1939, in Connellsville, a son of the late Edward Parker and Garnet Edith (Willard) Mulhorn. He married Alfretta Mae (Jaynes) Mulhorn on July 3, 1958.

Duaine was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was employed as a machinist with Anchor Hocking Cap Division in South Connellsville for nearly 25 years and was a faithful member of the Scottdale Church of Christ. Duaine enjoyed fishing for walleye and hunting.

Duaine will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 65 years, Alfretta Mae (Jaynes) Mulhorn; his four children, Dennis Mulhorn and wife Diane of Evans, Ga., Denise Plyler and husband Roger, Keith Mulhorn, and David Mulhorn, all of Scottdale; his eight grandchildren, Kristen Simpson (Mike), Daniel Mulhorn, Bethany Stratton, Caleb Stratton, Katie Myer (Sheldon ), Kourtney Mulhorn, Lucas Mulhorn, and Haylee Mulhorn; his five great-grandchildren, Aiden and Gweneth Myer, Noah, Anastasia, and Easton Simpson; his siblings, Fred Mulhorn, Darl Mulhorn (Linda), Margie Santmyer, and Janet O'Brien; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Mulhorn; and his two pet dogs, Bucky and Hooch.
