Dorothy M. (Shaffer) Matusiewicz, 95, formerly of Herminie, passed away at 4:51 AM Thursday, March 19, 2020 in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She is with Jesus, the author and lover of her soul! Dorothy was born March 14, 1925 in Elkhardt, WV, a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Cecile (Bailey) Shaffer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Matusiewicz.

Dorothy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a former quality control employee with the Motorola Corporation and a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Jeannette.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her loving family; her daughter, Stephanie Brockhoff and her husband Mike of Penn; her grandchildren, Zach Wable, Michelle, Stephanie, and Michael Brockhoff; her great granddaughter, Aubrie; and her brother, Lester Shaffer of Ohio.
