Dorothy Louise Dunlap, 90 of Dickerson Run, passed away at 11:20 AM Thursday, March 14, 2024 in Beechwood Court, Uniontown where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years. Dot, as she was affectionally called, was born August 1, 1933 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Freeman) Bereiter. She was married to George A. Dunlap, who passed away in 1987.

Dot was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was Valedictorian of her Graduation Class from Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in Connellsville and a longtime and faithful member of the former Sacred Heart RC Church in Dawson. Currently, she worshipped at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Connellsville. Dot enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing with her husband at Big Band performances.

Dot will be sadly missed by her loving family; her two sons, George "Tom" Dunlap and his wife Judy of Vanderbilt and Daniel "Dan" Dunlap and his wife Deborah of Irwin; her four grandchildren, Michael Sekeres, Heidi McClain (Jason), Michelle Dunlap (Russ Ritenour), and Jadon Dunlap; her four great grandchildren, Michael Sekeres, Jackson McClain, Brooklyn McClain, and Zane Ritenour; her sister, Barbara"Barb" Opts of Dunbar; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Ann Dunlap; and her seven siblings.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 4-7 PM Sunday and from 8:45-9:20 AM Monday, the time of Prayers of Transfer in the funeral home chapel. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 AM Monday in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville with Rev. Father Peter Gaurdiano as celebrant.
