Obituary

Doris Ann "Dori" (Fry) Lowe, 85, of Scottdale (East Huntingdon Township), passed away at 5:17 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her residence, with her loving family at her bedside. Dori was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Pitcairn, a daughter of the late Russell and Mildred (Adams) Fry. She married Wallace L. "Wally" Lowe on June 7, 1954, and he passed away on their wedding anniversary, June 7, 2019. Dori was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and farmer's wife. She was a longtime and faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God and a graduate of East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1955. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Dori will be sadly missed by her loving family: her four children, W. Lee Lowe and wife, Lynette, of Stahlstown, Kim Barclay and husband, Blaine, of Mt. Pleasant, Sherry Graft, of North Huntingdon, and Robin Rollinson and husband, Rob, of Scottdale; her 17 grandchildren; her 22 great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Kim Carrier Lowe, of Erie. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Von Lowe; her son-in-law, Randall Graft; her brother, James Fry; and her in-laws, Clyde and Lola Lowe. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (www.fergusonfuneralss.com). Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastors Tom Shirer and Rob Allison co-officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery next to her late husband. Memorial contributions can be offered to Make A Wish Foundation, 707 Grant St. No. 3700, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, and Camp Sonrise Mountain, 490 Caney Valley Road, Markleysburg, PA 15459.
