Doris Jean Brady, 92, of Greensburg (formerly of East Huntingdon Township and Connellsville), passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021. Doris was born April 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Roy and Gladys (Kelly) Hixson. She was married to Edward Francis Brady, who passed away Oct. 28, 1992.

Doris graduated from East Huntingdon High School with the Class of 1947 where she served as valedictorian. She was employed as the menswear manager and fashion designer of Giolotti's Clothing Store for many years. Doris was always fashionably dressed, and enjoyed walking throughout Connellsville, gardening, and decorating her home. "She took the gift of life on a journey and collected friends along the way!"

Doris will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends, her special and loyal friend, Shirley Trump Klippi; her special cousin, Verna Kindleberger; her special niece, Sue Ann Booher; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Franklin Hixson.

At Doris Jean's request, there will be no viewing, visitation, or service. Private inurnment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Connellsville, next to her late husband.
