Donna Jean Bloom, 72 of Vanderbilt (Dunbar Township), passed away at 2:05 AM Friday, February 26, 2021 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Donna was born November 6, 1948 in Dickerson Run, a daughter of the late George and Gladys (Colbert) Bordas. She married Elmer E. Bloom on September 6, 1971.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a licensed beautician for 55 years, owning and operating the Donna J. Bloom Beauty Shop. A graduate of Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1966 and the Uniontown Beauty Academy, she was also a faithful member of the Vanderbilt United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, visiting the family cabin, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penquins fan!

Donna will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband of 49 years, Elmer E. Bloom; her two sons, Scott E. Bloom and fiancé, Amanda Edwards of New Salem and Kevin E. Bloom and wife Kristie of Vanderbilt; her seven grandchildren, Casey James, Weston, Kaylee, Sierra, Savannah, Scarlett, and Skye Bloom; her two great grandchildren, Amelia and Kaiden; her brother, George Bordas of Dickerson Run; her two sisters, Arlene Honeycutt of Connellsville and Judith Whipkey and husband Jay of Vanderbilt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Connor Bloom; and her sister, Dolores Connell.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (724-529-2611 / www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday with Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
