Donald M. "Don" Martin, 79, of Connellsville (Dunbar Township), passed away at 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.

Don was born June 20, 1941, in Connellsville, a son of the late Francis and Gertrude (Leonard) Martin. He married Beverly Gail (Lint) Martin on July 30, 1966.

Don was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He was employed for 32 years as a crane man with U.S. Steel at National Tube and Irvin Works.

He was a graduate of Frazier High School, Class of 1959 and a member of the Phillip Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church in Dawson.

He served as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football, and rooting for the Steelers.

Don will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of 54 years, Beverly Gail (Lint) Martin; his two children, Michael Martin and wife Pam of Mt. Pleasant and Donald Martin and girlfriend Allison of Markleysburg; his three grandchildren, Mikey, Cody, and Dustin; his two sisters, Judy Anderson and husband John and Tina Hartman and husband Don, all of Dawson; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal pet Cocker Spaniel, Scooby Doo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Rearick and Gladys Martin.

Family and friends will be received from 2-7 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating.

Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
