Donald D. Hoke Jr., 64, of Acme, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Eicher's Personal Care Home, Normalville. Don was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Latrobe, a son of Jacqueline Leeper Hoke, of Acme, and the late Donald D. Hoke, who passed away March 13, 2009. Don was the proprietor and president of Don Hoke Insurance and Financial Consulting in Scottdale and Acme and held designations as a PA CPA, CLU and CPCU. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1970; graduated from the LaFayette College with a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering (1974), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics (1975); received his MBA from the University of PA's Wharton School of Business (1977); held a Master's of Science in accounting from Syracuse (1978); and was president of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Don was a member of the Acme United Methodist Church, the Westmoreland County Life Underwriter's; Pleasant Valley Country Club; and the Scottdale Rotary Club. He was the CFO for Colt Industries and Bell Aircraft Corporation. In addition to his mother, he is survived by many loving cousins and very dear friends.
