Obituary

DOLORES "DOOK" (LINT) HONE KOBALLA, 85 of Dawson, passed away suddenly
Friday evening, January 27, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
Dook was born November 22, 1931 in Scottdale, a daughter of the late David
G. and Hazel R. (McLean) Lint.
Dook graduated from the former Dunbar High School in Lessening, Class of
1949 and retired after 29 years of service at Anchor Hocking Cap plant in
South Connellsville where she was employed as a selector. She was a faithful
member of the Phillip G. Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church in Dawson.
Dook served on Borough Council and on the Board of Elections in Dawson and
was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Dawson Volunteer Fire Dept. She
was a very avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all the Pittsburgh teams,
especially the Steelers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family,
camping, visiting Las Vegas, attending concerts and gathering together at
family functions.
Dook will be missed very much but fondly remembered by her loving family and
friends; her husband Edward J. Koballa, to whom she was married 50 years on
June 4, 2016; her four daughters, Margie Logan and her husband Charles of
Dawson, Susie Peperak and her husband Charles of Connellsville, Michele Kunz
of Scottdale, and Lori Hodge and her husband Robert of Connellsville; her
daughter-in-law, Renee Hone of Dawson; her sisters, Ella "Bunny" Nicklow and
her husband Charles of Dawson, Donna Graft and her husband Wayne of Dawson,
and Beverly Martin and her husband Don of Connellsville; her sister-in-law,
Joyce Lint of Dickerson Run; her eleven grandchildren, David Hone III, Brian
Hone and wife Jamie, David Lynn and wife Jessica (Ryan) Lynn, Melissa
Lapinski and husband Drew, Josh Logan and wife Laura, Jenna Hodge, Charles
Peperak, Alex Peperak, Luke Peperak, and Heidi Kunz; her two
step-grandchildren, Lee Hodge and wife Jennifer and Marissa Hodge; her 12
great grandchildren, Braden and Willow Hone, Fallyn, Carter, Candace,
Cayden, Noah, and Eli Logan, Landon and Lexi Lynn, and Andrew and Vada
Lapinski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, David R. Hone
(November 3, 2011); her granddaughter, Gabrielle Peperak; her great
grandson, David Hone II; and her brother, Richard G. Lint.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the
RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (724-529-2611 /
www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and
friends will be received from 12-8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
Additional viewing will be held from 9-11 AM Wednesday in the Phillip G.
Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church, Dawson where funeral services will
be held at 11 AM Wednesday with Rev. Rob Rabenstein and Rev. Dr. Marvin
Watson co-officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow
in Dickerson Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:
Cochran United Methodist Church Kitchen /AC Fund, Griscom St., Dawson, PA
15428. Dook wanted to thank Dr. Madaan and all the wonderful Doctors,
nurses, and employees of Excela Health Frick, who cared for her on her many
