Diana L. Eichar, 78

of Smithton (South Huntingdon Township) passed away at 8:55 pm Friday, June 13, 2025 in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. Diana was born on November 4, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of the late

William B. and Ivelyn L. (Sterrett) Myers, who passed away on December 13, 2002 and November 23, 1997 respectively. She married Vernon F. Eichar on July 1, 1967 and he survives her.

Diana was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Scottdale High School, Class of 1964 and the Durbin Secretarial School. Diana was employed for many years as a student caregiver with the Kill Devil Hills School District in North Carolina and previously worked at Walmart and the Scottdale Mennonite Publishing House. She and her husband were active members of the Church of the Brethren while residing in North Carolina. Diana also enjoyed reading Amish books.

Diana will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband of 57 years, Vernon F. Eichar; her children, Sandy Titterington and husband Jim and Robert Eichar; her grandchildren, Caleb and Elizabeth Titterington; her siblings, Bill Myers, Dan Myers (Becky), and Tom Myers (Sandy); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda L. Myers in 1958; and her sister-in-law, Carol (Keefer) Myers in 2022.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday and 10-11 am Tuesday in the funeral home chapel followed by funeral services at 11 am Tuesday with Pastor Lee Smith officiating.
