David A. Francis, 61, of Connellsville, passed away at 11:49 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. David was born Oct. 10, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of David R. and Mary (Geary) Francis of Connellsville. He married Sherry L. (Lewis) Francis on May 2, 1981.

David was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. He graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1978 and was affiliated with the Faith Bible Church in Connellsville. David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his faithful dog, Claire, fishing, hunting, and camping.

David will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 40 years, Sherry L. (Lewis) Francis; his parents, David R. and Mary (Geary) Francis; his two daughters, Heather Booher and husband Nathan of Curwensville and Amy Francis and companion Kane Rae of Youngwood; his three grandchildren, Natalie, Molly, and Luke Booher; his sister, Pam Miller and husband John of Dawson; his niece, McKenzie; and his father-in-law, Donald Lewis. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Irene (Myers) Lewis; his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Meredith Francis; and his maternal grandparents, Carl and Agnes Geary.
