David L. Coffman, 75 of Scottdale passed away at 5:01 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at his residence with his loving family and caregivers at his bedside. David was born August 19, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, a son of the late Leroy A. and Clara (Bashforth) Coffman.

David was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1965 and received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from the Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood. He was a retired food service supervisor with Excela Health Frick Hospital (formerly HC Frick Community Hospital) in Mount Pleasant. A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, David served as a specialist private in the US Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Dave also enjoyed woodworking and painting.

David will be sadly missed by his devoted family; his two brothers, Samuel Coffman and wife Bonny and Jeffrey Coffman and wife Susan; his dear friend Becky Jones; and his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eric L. Coffman on January 14, 2022.
