Daniel H. Myers, of Dawson, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg. Born in Greensburg May 15, 1947, he attended Hempfield High School and Vo-Tech School. He served in the Marine Corps in the Vietnam conflict. Dan was a Teamster who owned and operated a state inspection garage. He was preceded in death by his parents, William W. Myers and Luella (Veitch) Myers; his half-brother, William David Myers; and his step-granddaughter, Tiffany Alcorn. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Alcorn (Mark), of Greensburg and Kathleen Myers, of South Carolina; two grandsons, Dustin Alcorn and Mark Alcorn Jr.; his sister, Susan Fry (Gerald), of Beaver County; and many nieces and nephews. Dan was a man of his word if he said he would do something for you, one would consider it done. He also enjoyed simple, outdoor things in life, such as boating and duck hunting with friends and family. He was a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited. Dan bred and raised AKC Labrador Retrievers. Private memorial service will be held at a future date.
