M. Corinne II (Brown) Cunnard, 85, of Greensburg, formerly of Ligonier, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, in the Oak Hill Nursing Center, Hempfield Township. Corinne was born Oct. 28, 1930, in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Muriel Corinne (Hough) Brown. She was married to John Cunnard, who passed away in 1991. Corinne was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was employed for many years at the former Volkswagen of America plant in New Stanton and a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ligonier. Years ago, Corinne was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star and took pride in caring for her grandkids, who affectionately called her "Mammy Woo". She enjoyed traveling and loved living in Ligonier! Corinne will be sadly missed by her loving family: her four children, Dana Geckle, of Pittsburgh, Darwin Kalp Jr., of Boswell, M. Corinne III Myers and her husband, Greg, of Ligonier, and Jeffrey Kalp, of North Carolina; her daughter-in-law, Diane Kalp, of California; her eight grandchildren, David Geckle and wife, Leigh, Dean Geckle, Scott Geckle, Randy Kalp II and Beth, Muriel Corinne IV Myers and Zach, Captain Robbie W. Myers and wife, Alyssa, Sara Beth Myers and Darwin Kalp III; her five grandchildren, Cassie, Ben, CJ, and Abby Geckle, and William Myers; her three siblings, Richard and Ernest Brown, both of Scottdale, and Shirley Kimball and husband, Donald, of Williamsburg, Va.; her two sisters-in-law, Sharon Brown, of Mt. Pleasant, and Jean Miller, of Ligonier; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Kalp; her infant grandson, Ronald Geckle; and her siblings, Clarence Brown Jr., Karl Brown, Dwight Brown, Dale Brown and Dawn Brown. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Larry Kalp officiating.
