Obituary

Corenia S. Rose, 86, of Connellsville (Upper Tyrone Township), passed away at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

Corenia was born June 13, 1934, in Little Falls, W.Va., a daughter of the late Pete and Harriet (Hammons) Roberts.

Corenia was a devoted companion, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and greatgreat grandmother. She formerly worked as a nurse's aide in the home care field and worshipped at the New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy in Everson. She enjoyed playing bingo, dining on pizza and wings, Chuck Norris movies, watching Gunsmoke, WWE Wrestling, and rooting for the 49ers!

Corenia will be sadly missed by her longtime companion of 26 years, Franklin D. Menefee; her six children, Victoria Ruby (Jacob) of Connellsville, Sherry Murphy (Earl) of Scottdale, Deborah Stefan (Richard) of Scottdale, Gloria Fullem (Mark Hay) of Connellsville, Bonnie Bageant of Connellsville, and Robert Rose (Sandra) of Mt. Pleasant; her three stepchildren, John Menefee of Scottdale, Steven Menefee (Danielle) of Tarrs, and Eric Menefee of Iron Bridge; her 28 grandchildren; her numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Knight Stenger; and her siblings, James and Donald Roberts, Esta Legas, Eleanor Lyons, Mabel Williams, Donna Akins, Gloria Jean Slaughter, Birdie Billheimer, and three infants siblings, Franky Lorain, Bernie Ann, and Blanche Josephine Roberts.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, 724-887-5300, www.fergusonfunerals.com . Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Randy Winemiller officiating.

Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
