Charlotte I. Boyer, 68 of Connellsville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She had been receiving exceptional care at Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe, for several months. Charlotte was born Dec. 22, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant. She married Charles A. Boyer, on Sept. 23, 1972. Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. Before she retired, Charlotte utilized her attentive and nurturing qualities as a certified nursing assistant in the behavioral health unit at Excela Health Westmoreland hospital. Before working for Excela, she was employed at Mercy-Jeannette Hospital and was known by her patients and colleagues as a meticulous and compassionate caregiver. She attended Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville. More than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved granddaughter, Kaitlen, who will miss their sleepovers, sewing and going to Idlewild with her Nana. Charlotte will be deeply missed by her family; her husband of 49 years, Charles A. Boyer; her daughter, Veronica (Boyer) Kowalski and husband, Leonard, of Greensburg; and her granddaughter, Kaitlen Kowalski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother. In lieu of flowers, friends and relatives are encouraged to make contributions to Autism Speaks or Make-A-Wish.A memorial Mass and inurnment will be announced at a later date.
