Charles Francis "Chuck" King, 61, of Scottdale (Upper Tyrone Township), passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Chuck was born April 8, 1961, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Shirley (Stickle) Lynch of Scottdale and the late Donald G. King, who passed away in 1974. Chuck married Valerie A. (Taylor) King on June 9, 1984.

Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1979, and was employed as a superintendent in the construction field. He formerly owned and operated King's Construction in Scottdale. Chuck was a faithful member of the Community Christian Church in Mt. Pleasant and enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching his children in sports, playing with his grandchildren and hunting.

Chuck will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 38 years: Valerie A. (Taylor) King; his three children, Caitlin Wilson and Jacob of Peters Township, Christina King and Jade Maher of Cranberry, and Charles "Chas" King and Erin Stoner of Harrisburg; his three grandchildren, Declan James Wilson, Hayes Charles Wilson, and Cameron Jacob Wilson; his siblings, Holly Burkhart of Scottdale, Polly Lucas and Ken of Oregon, Gregory King of Scottdale, and Mark Lynch and Kelly of Ligonier; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Vernon Lynch.
