Obituary

Carl K. Kibe, 58

of Connellsville passed away at 9 AM Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his residence. Known to many as "Rooster", Carl was born on August 21, 1966 in McKeesport , a son of the late Alvin Edward, Sr. and Carol J. (Bounds) Kibe, who passed away in 2020 and 2015 respectively.

Rooster was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. A graduate of Frazier High School, Class of 1985, he was employed for 16 years at Mongell's Tire Service in Connellsville. He was also a Veteran of the US Army and a member of the Connellsville Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. Rooster was a big time prankster and a "Jack of all Trades". He enjoyed floating down the Yough River, working on vehicles, hunting, fishing, camping, and especially riding his motorcycle.  Rooster also took pride in raising his loyal dogs, Bear, Sassy, and Odie!

Rooster will be sadly missed by his loving family; his daughter, Destiny Kibe Spohn (Travis) of Connellsville; his son, Carl Kibe Jr. (Jillian Gettmy) of Latrobe; his grandchildren, Darrius, Promise, and Sophia; his siblings, Brenda (Joe) Mellinger of Perryopolis, Michael (Tomi) Kibe of Elizabeth, Edward (Brenda) Kibe of Layton, Rex (Heide) Kibe of Elizabeth, Alvin E. Jr.

(Margaret) Kibe of Perryopolis, Bryan (Denise) Kibe of Layton, and Larry (Laura) Kibe of Elizabeth; and his numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rooster was preceded in death by his brother, David "Crockett" Ryan Kibe (2020).
