Carl Lane Harbarger, 80 of North Carolina, a retired truck driver, machinist, and naval veteran passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2020 at his residence with his family at his side. Carl was born in Connellsville, a son of the late Archie and Dorothy (Fretts) Harbarger. Carl spent much of his childhood in Dawson and Casper, Wyoming and following High School graduation registered with the US Navy where he served as an aviation machinist during the Vietnam War. He eventually settled with his family in Fayette County and served several years with the Bullskin Township Volunteer Fire Department. Upon retirement, he and his wife joined their daughter in North Carolina where he spent his final years after the passing of his wife, Dorothy Harbarger in 2006. Carl was his happiest camping, fishing, and hunting with his family and friends! Carl will be greatly missed by his loving family and many close friends; his daughter, Carla Ann Taylor; and his grandchildren, Chevy Lane Taylor and Meghan Liz-Marie Taylor. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Archie and John Harbarger.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday September 4, 2020 in the funeral home chapel where a memorial service will be held at 8PM Friday.
