Obituary

Bruce D. Clark Sr., 85, of Scottdale (Mt. Nebo), passed away at 8:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at his residence with his loving family at his side. Bruce was born July 11, 1936, at Tarrs in East Huntingdon Township, son of the late Paul and Margaret (McIntire) Clark. He married Constance "Connie" Ruth (Armel) Clark July 21, 1960. Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and brother. He was a Christian man and a family man who loved God and read his Bible every day. He retired from U.S. Steel Irvin Works at Dravosburg, where he was employed as a welder and pipe fitter for 40 years. He was a longtime and faithful member of the former Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee and head of maintenance. Recently, he was attending the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. A veteran of the Air Force, he served as a private during the Korean Conflict. Bruce enjoyed biking, hunting deer, carpentry, gardening, bingo, doing sudoku puzzles, bird watching, vacations to Myrtle Beach and the Amish country and renting cabins at state parks! Bruce will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 61 years, Constance "Connie" Ruth (Armel) Clark; his son, Bruce D. Clark Jr. and wife, Stacey, of Scottdale; his daughter, Blossom R. (Clark) Ferguson and her husband, Alan, of Scottdale; his grandchildren, Earl Frank Shandorf, Bruce D. Clark III, Travis Hogan and Tyler Clark, all of Scottdale; his nine great-grandchildren, Star, Dash, Kendi, Braxton, Kenny III, Avaya, Cameron, Brandon and Landon; his great- great-grandchild, Aiden; his brother, Clifford Clark and wife, Jan, of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two grandsons, Dominque Clark (2013) and Kenneth H. Hogan Jr. (2021); his siblings, Jack, William and Donald Clark, Pearl Fritz and Betty King. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING St., SCOTTDALE, ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Tom Shirer officiating along with full military honors bestowed by the Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Alverton Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
