Betty Jean Culler Colbert of Dawson, PA passed away Monday July 31, 2023 in WVU Medical Center Uniontown, PA surrounded by her loving family.

She was born, May 26, 1931 in Layton, PA , daughter of the late Bessie Hood Culler Ruffner. Betty was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her husband, William L. Colbert and her son, William M. Colbert.

She is survived by daughters, Patty (Eugene) Lint and Dara (Kenny) Hoke and daughter in law, Wannona Colbert and Terry Newell all of Dawson, PA.

She was a beloved grandmother who adored her grandchildren and their families. Surviving grandson, William M (Colby)and children Chasity, Calie, Morgan, Olivia and Addy. Granddaughter Melissa (Rick) Loughman and children Emily, Elliot and Eli. Surviving sister in laws, Ethel (Dick) Shaffer and Lorranine Ruffner and brother in law Robert Colbert.

As a devoted mother, Betty cherished her family dearly and she gave them a life time of unconditional love and support. Betty enjoyed going to Bingo and trips to the casino. In later years, she worked as a caregiver for Lint's Personal Care Home. She was a member of the Elizabeth Bower Chapter of the Eastern Star.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at WVU Uniontown Hospital for their excellent care. A special thank you to the Swink family and also to Kim Carroll for all of the love and concern for our mother.
