Barry S. Falla, 59, of Scottdale, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Barry was born Aug. 26, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late William F. Falla Sr. and Myrna J. (Clelland) Falla, who passed away July 1, 2011, and Jan. 22, 2009, respectively. Barry was a devoted father and grandfather. He was employed as a security guard with Southmoreland School District, and years ago worked at Duraloy Blaw-Knox in Scottdale. Barry graduated from Southmoreland High School, class of 1976, and was a faithful member of Scottdale Church of Christ, where he was active with the youth in VBS and in the Men's Group. He also served as a leader in the local Cub and Boy Scouts, and enjoyed building model cars and working crossword puzzles. Barry will be sadly missed by his loving family; his three children, Nicole Hallowell (Thomas), of Lakeworth, Fla., Benjamin Falla, of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Danielle Falla (Michelle Majercak), of Scottdale; and their mother, Brenda Falla, of Mt. Pleasant; his granddaughter, Amelia Hallowell; his siblings, Renee Shallenberger (Skip), of Scottdale, William Falla Jr. (Cheryl), of Everson, and Melissa Kalinen (Reino), of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; five great-nieces; and two great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy David Falla. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B.
