Arlene L.
Honeycutt
October 20, 1937 – April 25, 2023
Arlene L. (Bordas) Honeycutt, 85 of Connellsville arrived in heaven at 5:27 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in the WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Arlene was born October 20, 1937 in Dickerson Run, a daughter of the late George and Gladys (Colbert) Bordas.
She graduated from Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1955 and was formerly employed as a clerk typist with the United States Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. In her early years, she worshipped at the former Sacred Heart RC Church in Dawson then transitioned to the Immaculate Conception RC Church in Connellsville. Years ago, she was a salesperson for Avon, obtaining numerous awards and accolades of success.
Arlene was a loving, kind, and compassionate person who enjoyed playing bingos, attending yard sales and flea markets, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and attending the Connellsville Senior Center but Arlene's greatest joy was being an exceptional mother of her children, whom she very much cherished and immensely loved!
Arlene will be sadly missed by her loving family; her two sons, Bob Honeycutt and wife Kim (Mirt) of Milledgeville, Georgia and Jay Honeycutt and wife Terri (Fuller) of Medway, Ohio; her granddaughter, Nikki Baker and husband Charlie; her siblings, George Bordas of Dickerson Run and Judith Whipkey and husband Jay of Vanderbilt; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Honeycutt; and her two sisters, Dolores Connell and Donna Bloom.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday and from 9-11 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM Saturday In the Partner Parish of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Scottdale with Rev. Father Elmer Alforque as celebrant. Graveside committal and interment will be in the Church Cemetery, next to her late daughter. The family wishes to extend appreciation to Arlene's caregivers. Love Lasts Forever!
