Anna Mary Yoder, 91
of Scottdale passed away at 10:34 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 2, 1935 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Harry B. and Eva Mae (Shallenberger) Cunningham. She was married to Edward H. Yoder, who passed away on November 30, 1996.
Ann was as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a graduate of the Perry/Lower Tyrone Township High School, Class of 1953. She was a longtime and faithful member of the former Christ United Methodist Church in Scottdale and currently worshipped at Faithway Ministries. Ann was an active member of the FRS Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women Missionary group, was a teacher of Sunday School for over 35 years, and volunteered with the pre-school and vacation bible school programs.
Ann will be sadly missed by her loving family; her daughter, Laura Etling and her husband. Charles of Scottdale; her two sons, Neil E. Yoder and his wife Holly (Burrows) Yoder of Everson and Denny L. Yoder and his wife Carey (Miscik) Yoder of Georgia; her eight grandchildren, Tracy Miller (Jim Magda), Shelly Pierce (Jeremy), Lisa Etling Grosser, Bradley Yoder (Christine), Brittany Sarsfield (Dave), Briannon Yoder (Shaun Moore), Jenna Pilkington (Austin), and Andy Yoder (Derica); her great grandchildren, Katlyn, Skylar, and Jaiden Pierce, Owen and Braydon Sarsfield, Alizabeth and Seth Grosser, Annalise Plum, Landon Shankle, Ethan Moore, Joe, Mila, and Sammy Pilkington, and Myles and Adeline Yoder; her sister, Nelda Matheny of Scottdale; her two brothers, Charles Cunningham of Tampa, FL and Roy B. “Gush” Cunningham of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Smith on November 14, 2025.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-7 PM Tuesday and from 10-11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday with Pastor Kathy Barnhart officiating. Graveside committal services and interment will follow in Mr. Olive Cemetery next to her late husband. Memorials may be made to: Diabetes Foundation or American Cancer Society. Love Lasts Forever!
