Alice Jean (Lint) Dodgson, 72, of Dunbar Township, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
Alice was born Sept. 15, 1946 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late John P. and Leah J. (Herbert) Lint. She was also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Don Haines.
Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
A graduate of Connellsville High School and the former Durbin's Secretarial School, she was recently employed as a greeter at Walmart, Mt. Pleasant.
Alice previously worked at CRH Catering and at Don Haines Produce.
She was a longtime and active member of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Vanderbilt and had a fondness for animals, especially her pet dogs.
Alice will be sadly missed by her loving family, including her four children, Matt Dodgson Jr. and companion Shonda Butler of Warren, Ohio, Thomas Dodgson and wife Tova of Niles, Ohio, Lori Smith and husband Jason of Connellsville, and Kari Newell and husband Justin of Dawson; her seven grandchildren, Tommy Dodgson, Justin Ambrosini, Leah Ambrosini, Lance De- Falco, Beau Newell, Halee Newell, and Lindsey Jordan; her four great-grandchildren, Gracie Shoemaker, Kade Ambrosini, Adeline Jordan and Lillie DeFalco; her brother, John Lint and wife Barb of Scottdale; her nephew, Michael Lint; and her pet dog, Miley.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the Ralph Galley Funeral Home, 501 Railroad St., Dawson ( 724-529-2611 /www.fergusonfunerals.com).
At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday in the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Vanderbilt. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Dave McElroy officiating. Memorials may be made to the church in Alice's memory.
