Obituary

Albert R. Hoza, 94, of Mt. Pleasant (Bullskin Township), passed away at 9:28 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Albert was born April 23, 1924, in Etna, a son of the late John and Mary (Cuzj) Hoza. He was married to Patricia M. (Loeffler) Hoza, who passed away Oct. 22, 2013. Albert was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Following his graduation from Etna High School, he served his country during World War II in the Navy as an aviation ordnanceman for eight years. He relocated to the Faywest area with the Modulus Corporation and worked there for 42 years as a crane operator. Albert was a member of Calvin United Presbyterian Church and played on the dartball team. He also was a member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post and the Bullskin Senior Center, where he enjoyed playing bingo. Years ago, Albert enjoyed hunting, camping and traveling. Albert will be sadly missed by his loving family; his three children, Linda Ann Fada and husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant, Robert Timothy Hoza, of Stewart, Fla., and Jeffrey Scott Hoza, of Indianapolis, Ind.; his six grandchildren, Rob Fada (Debbie Kesler), Dawn Fada, Meghan Hoza (Hank Hodde), Ty Hoza (Heather Hall), Natalie Hoza (Reid Vernon) and Sam Hoza; his three great-grandchildren, Lexxi Fada (Dylan), Knox Hoza and Izzy Hoza; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of the John and Mary Hoza family and, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his three brothers, William, Mike and John Hoza; and his six sisters, Ann Corey, Marie Grimm, Helen Ritz, Agnes Templin, Frances Fedondes and Katherine McFarland.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with his pastor, the Rev. Leonard Morgan, officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Greenlick Cemetery.
